Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)

Keeping your child's smile healthy shouldn't be stressful or expensive. The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a government program that helps eligible children get the dental care they need—without the worry of high costs.
Who Can Use It?
Children aged 2 to 17 years who have Medicare may be eligible. The program provides up to $1,000 over two consecutive years for essential dental services.
What's Covered?
With CDBS, your child can receive:
- Regular dental check-ups and cleanings
- Fluoride treatments and cavity prevention
- Fissure sealants to protect teeth from decay
- Fillings for small cavities
- X-rays when needed
Cosmetic treatments are not included, but all essential care for a healthy smile is covered!
Why It's Great for Children
- Encourages regular dental visits to prevent problems early
- Reduces out-of-pocket costs for families
- Supports strong, healthy teeth and good oral habits from a young age
